YOUR SCHOOL!

Each participating school is required to submit their eligible seniors' drawing tickets at the  annual "Youth of the Year" event at the Region One Education Service Center, located at 1900 W. Schunior Edinburg, TX 78541.

At this event, one finalist for each school will be  determined by way of a raffle drawing.

If your campus does not provide Frank Smith Toyota with their drawing tickets by this predetermined event,  they will forfeit their participation in the Be a Star "Win a Car" event.

The name of each finalist for each school will be entered into the final live public drawing to be held on to be determined towards the end of the school year,  5:00pm at Frank Smith Toyota Scion in which the final winner will be determined. Everyone who would like to attend is welcomed.

NOTE:  Each finalist must be present to win the Grand Prize 2013 Scion tC!

One Lucky Area High School Senior Will Win a Brand New 2013 Scion tC at Frank Smith Toyota Scion

Frank Smith Toyota Scion rewards good grades & attendance at

Starr & Hidalgo County High Schools with a 2013 Scion tC.

 

Pharr, TX - Participating high school seniors in Starr and Hidalgo Counties have been given the opportunity to win a new 2013 Scion tC, donated by Frank Smith Toyota Scion & Gulf States Toyota.  To be eligible for the prize, participating Starr and Hidalgo high school seniors must have had good attendance records or earned good grades (as determined by each high school) and must have been a graduate of the 2012-2013 school year. Eligible students' names have been entered into a drawing at Frank Smith Toyota Scion for a chance to win a brand new 2013 Scion tC. 







"Be a Star, Win a Car" 
Official Rules.

1.    NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. TO ENTER OR WIN, A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.  ALL FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY.  VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
 
2.    Eligibility.  The winning Senior/'Seniors finalist prior to the final   Grand Prize drawing must have their High School official personnel sign and provide proof of the guidelines listed as completion of graduating, and obtained good grades, or good attendance without getting in trouble as to be defined by their high school prior to the end of graduation 2013. Subject to the additional restrictions below, the "be a star" car giveaway is open to only persons 18 years or older or to the Parents of or legal guardianship at the time of drawing If a chosen senior finalist is under the age of 18 their legal guardian must accompany them to receive the Grand Prize.  Employees of Frank Smith Sales Inc. and each of their immediate family members of, and any persons domiciled with, any such employees, are not eligible to enter or win.  The term "immediate family members" includes spouses, parents, grandparents, siblings, children and grandchildren.
 
3.    How To Enter.  The entry period begins on or about the beginning of the current school year of, 2013 and will end on April  of 2013.  Each Counselor is required to bring the eligible seniors drawing tickets to the Youth of the year banquet. At that time a drawing will be held to draw the name of one senior from each participating school.  (the "Contest Period"). Frank Smith Sales Inc. reserves the right to extend to shorten such period of entry and or drawing period.  The ONLY way to enter is to have a senior name submitted by a Supervisor of their School of Graduation.
 
4.    Winner Selection.  One (1) Grand Prize Winner will be selected sometime in May 2013. A random drawing will be held to select one winner .  (Must be present to win)

5.    Prizes and Odds.  Grand Prize: One (1) Grand Prize Winner will receive a 2013 Toyota Scion Winner is responsible for any sales taxes, tag and title fees and any personal income tax owed according to IRS rules.  A 2013 W-9 will be issued to the grand prizewinner.  Odds depend on the total number of entries received from each high school during the entry period.
 
6.    Winner Notification and Acceptance.  Final qualifiers from each high school will be notified by telephone on or about April  2013.  The final qualifiers will be invited to the Final Giveaway event at Frank Smith Toyota Scion in Pharr. The grand prizewinner must be present at the Final Giveaway event.  Winners may waive their right to receive prizes.  Prizes are non-assignable and nontransferable.  No substitutions allowed by winner of the grand prize.  In the event the winner waives their right to receive the grand prize; Frank Smith Sales Inc. reserves the right to award the grand prize to the next qualified and eligible entry.
 
7.    Participation.  By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final in all aspects.  Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify persons found tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this Contest as solely determined by Sponsor.  Should the Contest be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, Sponsor reserved the right to award prizes based on entries received before the termination date.
 
8.    Construction.  The validity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision.  In the event that any such provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, these rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein.
 
9.    Sponsor.  The Be a Star Car Giveaway is sponsored by Frank Smith Sales Inc. The decisions of Frank Smith Sales Inc. the interpretation of these Official Rules and all other aspects of the contest shall be final and binding in all respects.  Frank Smith Sales Inc.  Will not be responsible for typographical, printing, website or other inadvertent errors in these Official Rules or in other materials relating to the Contest.  If you have any Questions regarding this Contest, call Mark Sampson (956) 212-5794 Monday through Friday during regular business hours.

10.Minor.Frank Smith Sales Inc. shall be held harmless of any and all claims if recipient is under the age of 18 years and must provide the followed sign waiver. The legal guardian of such minor shall sign and such approved this hold harmless agreement.

Sponsor, its affiliated companies, participating sponsors, information providers, content providers, subsidiaries, advertisers, advertising agencies, promotional and marketing agencies, and any other companies involved with or otherwise providing services related to this Promotion, are not responsible for any failure of any electronic equipment, computer transmissions and/or network connections, nor are they responsible for any inaccuracies in information which may be used in the Promotion, or for any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of attempts, including data entered by contestants. Sponsor, its affiliated companies, participating sponsors, information providers, content providers, subsidiaries, advertisers, advertising agencies, promotional and marketing agencies, and any other companies involved with or otherwise providing services related to this Promotion, reserve the right to discontinue the Promotion at any time, in which event, only entries received prior to that date will be considered.

 

PRIZES AND ODDS OF WINNING: The Grand Prize is a Brand New 2013 Toyota Scion tC vehicle valued at  $19,390 There is only one (1) grand prize available to be won. Odds of an entry winning are based on the total number of entries in the drawing. Prize will only be awarded upon winner validation and verification. Taxes, fees or other charges, if any, are the sole responsibility of winner.
